I don’t wish to discount the meaningless crap theory, but I think there is more to it. These people think Jerry Lewis is a genius, after all. The fact that it swept the 1991 Cannes Film Festival, winning the Palme d’Or, Best Director, and Best Actor (John Turturro) can simply be chalked up to French perversity and anti-Americanism. And Barton Fink is surely the most widely detested film by the Coens. Most viewers are inclined to think that this is because the film is a pretentious, meaningless piece of crap. If you unlock the system with the simple prefab boot software located on an SD card, you’ll get an array of retro emulation including the ability to use any PSP ISO file of your choice. It doesn’t really make sense to install custom firmware to “root” PSP to make it run whatever you like.Ĭonsidering the wide-open nature of its architecture, the PSP remains in popular demand amongst retro gamers. When it comes to game, the PSP is actually not region-locked, however, the UMD movies were locked with their DVD region codes. It also has an “extreme budget” known as the PSP street which was released only outside the US and Japan without stereo sound or WiFi capability. In addition, the PSP Go is an inexpensive and portable version of the particular system used for the exercise of the UMD drive in case you’re only interested in playing downloaded games. The PSP-300 also introduced an in-built microphone. All the new iteration made use of the same type of base design, but with time they added to the internal storage and RAM and also increased the options for the video output. The PSP-1000 through PSP 3000, the original PSP series, allows users to play games by downloading the games from the PlayStation Network to a local storage or using a UMD mini-disc. In addition to all the homebrew software, the good emulators for consoles with up to 16-bit generation were developed, now the system works well and you can play anything on the go whether it’s the Sega Genesis or Atari 2600. After the leaking of Sony’s PS3 and PS2 “master keys”, hackers began to get access to it, and they were able to make use of the PS1 emulation for games that were never officially released by Sony. The PSP also equipped players to download an array of digital titles and some good emulators of the PS1 classics all from PlayStation. The PSP also had great games in genres like racing and driving, open-world sandbox, FPS and fighting. When it comes to RPGs, it was probably one of the strongest, especially strategy hybrids such as Disgaea series, Japanese RPGs, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and Monster Hunter. They had a strong line-up in certain genres, but were lacking in some others. Their software line-up probably contributed to the negative reactions to the PSP. However, Sony’s handheld device enjoyed a longer run and sold about 82 million units worldwide making it the third on the list of highest selling handheld device and 8th in the rank of highest selling video games of all time. ![]() Oddly enough, the PlayStation Portable (PSP) is considered a “failure” in certain circles, mainly because despite Sony’s superior hardware, the Nintendo DS had almost double its sales. After a while, the PSP became out-dated and the PS Vita was introduced to replace it, but a lot of core gamers still own and play it, because easily run it with homebrew software. The lifespan of the system lasted for more than a decade, with lots of other newer versions of it released between the year 20. The system’s rollout for 2004-2005 was a huge success despite initial concerns that the price was too high considering the fact that it was a handheld device. It’s hardware accelerator and dual processor could run ports that were very similar to that of the original PlayStation 2 versions (Persona 3, Grand Theft Auto), while the graphical capabilities of the DS, its rival were similar to those of the Nintendo 64 and PS1. The PSP was the first of such devices to compare well to the memory capacity and graphical abilities of the sixth-generation consoles (original Xbox, Gamecube, PS2). Playstation Portable or also known as PSP was a great advancement in the world of handheld gaming devices. ![]() This is a must-listen, earning a 10/10 rating. With such high quality, 2018 is shaping up to be an excellent year for Torchwood on audio. Barrowman’s energy and enthusiasm for the character and the series shine through in every line, making it a real treat for fans to hear him back in action as the iconic Torchwood leader. ![]() This beguiling sub-genre, quite distinct from the real time strategy genre from which it sprung, seemed perfectly suited to mobile play. As a genre, it's fallen out of fashion since its heyday.īack in the early to mid days of the App Store, you could scarcely move for tower defence games, or TD for short. You don't seem to see so many new tower defence/defense (delete according to English-speaking preference) games appearing on the App Store these days. Maybe I'm missing something but why was Defective Engines damage SO low? 22/32 seems so that it would be pointless.Updated on May 25th, 2023 - re-checked the list We will also give them a modest damage increase: Firstly, I'd edit the AoE of the auto attacks to be 50-100% larger (not sure what it is by default) so it can do it's intended job better, to deal damage to multiple enemies at a time. ![]() One of the biggest complaints I see is that the AoE effect of the rocket is simply not sufficient and damage output from their attacks/ skills is not enough to justify the cost. No one uses these past the first few levels of the game. I'd also reduce the cooldown on the Frog, it isn't as useful or powerful of an instant death skill because it requires the player to tap the frog. This will increase their viability and uniqueness. I think rather than just doing a straight damage buff for them, I'd increase the Stun chance on the auto attack to 60% (same as fully upgraded Swamp Thing) with 1.2 second stun, and increase the poison damage a tier (Meaning a Level 1 Witch tower now has the Poison damage of a Level 2, and so on). Blazing Gem can kill Tanky/Magic resistant enemies even more easily though, and Mausoleum can also spawn Gargoyles to tank and even Possess them, making this tower just a gimmick. 8second stun, and poison damage is decent especially on tanky and/or magic resistant enemies. Almost never ever worth using over other magic towers. Let me know what you guys think for this and the what potentials weaknesses could be addressed and improved on for other towers. Now Orc Shaman's might actually be a usable tower and provide it's purpose for AoE damage control. This ability really needs more range and damage to be worth upgrading. Similarly, it's abilities would need some tweaksĪoE of 200 was always really short and always never felt like enough when a wave came. So it would look something like.Īlthough the Maximum isn't increased much, the overall DPS will be much higher and more consistent which this tower needs. So firstly I would triple the Min damage at each level (yes triple sounds crazy but it's kinda needed) while keeping Max damage the same, or just a slight buff. Level 3 ORC shaman does 20-110 damage for example, which is a HUGE range. One thing I'd like to do is increase the Min damage on this tower to make damage more consistent. It is simply way too expensive for what it does and there is pretty much no reason to ever use this tower over Mausoleum or Blazing Gem. Orc Shaman: Even the wiki says this tower has the worst cost efficiency in the game for damage DPS. Towers that are most in need of some buffs: ![]() This includes Bone Flingers, Mausoleum, Blazing Gem, Elite Harassers. I don't want to nerf any towers, towers that are good right now I feel should just stay that way. I also kind of like that the developers intended for some towers to be more expensive/powerful than others but cost more gold to compensate If a tower is really inefficient to upgrade due to high gold costs, I rather BUFF the tower than reduce the cost of it. Another thing I want to stay away from are gold costs to upgrade and deploy towers. ![]() I been playing around with things and it actually works! So what I'd like to do with this discovery is create a custom file to share with the community that improves/buffs towers in this game that are not very good so that they are actually usable. This includes things like cost of units and upgrades and the amount of damage done, healing done, stun time, AoE / Range etc. Hello Kingdom Rush Friends! I recently discovered for the Steam version of the game that you are able to edit values in the tower_settings folder to your liking. ![]() The installation process from this point onwards was as quick as any Windows installation. Proceeding with the installation, I was confronted with the usual interface I had found with Windows. To be honest, this isn’t a major problem anyway. ![]() After the first installation, any further software I attempted to install was carried off without a hitch. This was completely due to the fact that it was the first install I had carried out and therefore the system needed to install required fonts and such. The first stage of installation was fairly lengthy. For my initial tests of the software I decided to install Microsoft Office as I decided it would be a useful addition to my Mac as I haven’t developed a great taste for Open Office and haven’t yet bought a copy of iWork since recently purchasing an Apple Mac Mini. This includes anything from Microsoft Office to Call of Duty. The majority of regularly used programs will most likely be compatible with Crossover Mac. There is an almost endless list of software that is compatible with this software. However, when you enter any optical medium such as a CD or DVD containing installation files meant for Windows, the application springs into life and loads the files in an extremely similar manner to the auto-boot process on Windows. It pretty much stays out of your way, not even running until called upon. This is due to the discreet nature of the software. All that is immediately visible is the icon placed in the selected folder, or on the dock whilst open. So once your all set up and registered, you may wonder where the application has gone. I simply had to register on the CodeWeavers website and then register the software using the same details. ![]() Registering the software was a breeze too. As with the majority of OS X software, installation was simply a process of drag and drop into the applications folder. The first element of the program that needed testing, was naturally the installation and setup. During the testing of the program, I found all aspects of it to be pretty much flawless. To say that the software achieves this is an understatement to say the least. The software is designed to allow applications from other platforms, primarily Windows, to run seamlessly on Mac OS X without the need for emulators or dual booting the computer which requires a restart and wasted hard disk space. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy of CodeWeavers’ flagship product ‘ Crossover Mac’ this week. |
